Description
This IPAF Harness Awareness, Harness User and Harness Inspection (HA, HU, HI) course provides delegates with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely select, fit, use and inspect fall protection harnesses used when working at height.
Delivered by experienced instructors, the course combines classroom based theory with practical demonstrations to ensure delegates understand the correct use of personal fall protection equipment and the risks associated with working at height.
Delegates will learn how to identify different types of harnesses and lanyards, correctly fit and adjust harness equipment, carry out pre use checks, recognise damage or defects and understand inspection requirements. The course also covers safe attachment points, hazard awareness and best practice when using harness systems alongside equipment such as mobile elevating work platforms.
On successful completion, delegates will receive recognised IPAF certification confirming their competence to safely use and inspect harness equipment.
This course is suitable for anyone who works at height and is required to use or inspect fall protection harnesses as part of their role.
